Week 28 of Pregnancy

You may find during your third trimester you are having a hard time eating. This is because your digestion slows significantly during the final trimester.

Changes in your body at Week 29 of Pregnancy

You will probably be sleeping less soundly than you were before you were pregnant and having weird or scary memorable dreams. This is Mother Nature’s way to prepare you for the birth of your baby. The baby's kicking will affect your sleeping especially if you’re getting kicked in your bladder. This is totally normal and nothing to worry about, going to the toilet more and sleeping less is all part of pregnancy at this stage. Ensure you get plenty of rest throughout the day to compensate.

Changes you may experience during the 29th week of pregnancy include:

  • Heartburn
  • Insomnia
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Leg cramp which could be due to slack of calcium in your diet - try taking more calcium

Baby's Development at Week 29 of Pregnancy - Baby size: 36cm

Some typical developments which occur during the 29th week of pregnancy are:

  • Baby begins to develop more fat layers.
  • Baby may hiccup and you will feel it

The best ways to deal with the discomforts of late pregnancy are to maintain proper nutrition. Ensure you drink plenty of fluids, practice good posture, exercise and rest whenever you can. Getting hold of a pregnancy pillow will help with your interrupted sleep pattern.
