Week 33 of Pregnancy
With only 7 weeks of pregnancy left you should be slowing down and finishing preparation for the birth. You should now have all the amniotic fluid you need and this amount will decrease until your deliver. You will be gaining about a pound a week in weight now.
Changes in your body at Week 33 of Pregnancy
If you haven't suffered yet then you are probably having difficulty sleeping now. Suffering from back pain and insomnia are very common in late pregnancy. The best way to deal with it is to get cat naps throughout the day or invest in a pregnancy pillow.
Changes you may experience during the 33rd week of pregnancy include:
- Insomnia
- Ankles swelling
- Braxton hicks becoming more prominent
- Pain or tingling in their fingers and wrists
Baby's Development at Week 33 of Pregnancy - Baby size: 44cm
Your baby now weighs around 4½ pounds and will continue to gain around 1/2 pound each week.
Some typical developments which occur during the 33rd week of pregnancy are:
- More fat deposits develop under the skin
- Brain is continuing to develop
- Baby's respiratory system is almost completely mature
- Pupils will constrict and dilate in response to light
